I'm Shriyansh Sharma, a software engineer interested in systems.

Most of my time is spent building projects and studying how complex software systems are designed.

I enjoy working across the boundary between software engineering and machine learning. Recently that has meant exploring distributed systems, developer tooling, AI infrastructure, and architecture-aware engineering tools.

A recurring theme in my projects is understanding how things work internally.

Whether it's a distributed job queue, an AI agent runtime, a repository analysis system, or a research paper, I enjoy breaking systems apart, understanding their abstractions, and rebuilding them from first principles.

Current Areas of Interest

  • Distributed systems
  • Backend engineering
  • AI infrastructure

  • Systems programming
  • Machine learning systems

Projects

Some projects I'm currently working on:

  • Implementr : an architecture-aware platform that helps engineers move from research papers to implementation blueprints.
  • Distributed AI Platform : an event-driven inference platform built around Redis Streams, worker orchestration, and realtime observability.
  • AI Guardrails Agent : an MCP-enabled agent runtime with policy enforcement and human approval workflows.

This website is my engineering notebook.

I use it to document projects, technical explorations, implementation notes, architecture decisions, and lessons learned while building software.

You can explore ongoing work on the Projects page, read technical writing on the Writing page, browse source code on GitHub, or connect with me on LinkedIn.
